All funds raised will go directly to Montana Council for History and Civics Education.

About this campaign:

Montana National History Day is the Montana affiliate of the wider National History Day network. Each year students in grades 6-12 are given a theme of historical importance to develop their projects around. After extensive research, students the choose to present their research in one of five categories; paper, exhibit, website, documentary, or performance. Students then bring their projects to the state competition in Bozeman, MT for the chance at going to compete at the National competition at the University of Maryland in mid-June.

Montana National History Day is the flagship program of the non-profit organization, The Montana Council for History and Civics Education. Each year Montana National History Day and the Montana Council for History and Civics Education provide support for history students and teachers across Montana. We have a large presence at the annual MEA-MFT Conference, develop and lead workshops for teachers and head out to the schools to work with students to develop their skills in historical understanding.
